Digital Governance in UMS Sustainability: UMS GO Super App Driving a Smarter, Greener Future

Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) continues to advance its sustainability and digital transformation agenda with the launch of the UMS GO Super App, an integrated digital platform designed to streamline campus operations and enhance the overall experience of students and staff. As part of UMS’s Digital Governance initiative, the Super App consolidates multiple key services — including real-time campus bus tracking (HOPIN), MyDigital Card, geo-fenced attendance, and online academic and financial management — into one seamless ecosystem. This innovation not only strengthens digital connectivity but also supports UMS’s commitment to sustainability through efficiency, inclusivity, and reduced resource use.

According to UMS Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Kasim Hj. Mansor, this initiative represents a major leap in UMS’s digital governance and sustainability leadership.
  1. “UMS GO is more than a technological advancement — it reflects our governance philosophy of transparency, innovation, and inclusivity. Through digitalisation, we are creating a smarter and more sustainable campus ecosystem that empowers every member of our community,” he said.

This initiative exemplifies the integration of digital transformation into UMS’s sustainability framework, strengthening data integrity, institutional efficiency, and environmentally responsible management practices.
