UMS Community Outreach Program

Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) is committed to uplifting communities through inclusive, meaningful, and impact-driven outreach initiatives that bring university expertise to the heart of society. As The Brain of Borneo, UMS bridges academic knowledge with real-world needs—supporting sustainable development, strengthening local resilience, and nurturing a generation of responsible global citizens.

Through multidisciplinary partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, schools, rural communities, and indigenous groups, UMS transforms education, research, and volunteerism into community empowerment. These initiatives support numerous Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring that every outreach activity contributes to a greener, healthier, and more equitable Sabah.
